61. Module Tiericide. Aren't we losing something here? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
(Cleaning my apartment, obsessing about this. ) I guess what I worry about, when I see things like this being presented as the way forward, is the status of Eve as a science fiction game. I feel like with this moveGÇöand there've been one or t...

62. Module Tiericide. Aren't we losing something here? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The new names do seem to take away from the colour and richness of the universe of New Eden a bit. Hard to imagine that in the fraught and competitive future Eve is meant to create, all the developers of starship modules are going to stick to this...

You can make your own channel without having CCP close down all the others. How about that?

64. Module Tiericide. Aren't we losing something here? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I'm more or less in favour of changing the module stats, I guess, but I can see no reason to change the names to something as generic and boring as the suggestions currently on the table. Having different and interesting names for modules has been...

65. Sticky:Language Chat Channel Consolidation With Oceanus - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Ok, constructive suggestion time. Since there've been no CCP responses to any of the concerns raised in this thread so far (or in the one on the German forums), we presumably have to assume that this is not something our friends in Reykjavik are p...

66. Sticky:Language Chat Channel Consolidation With Oceanus - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
This seems like a bad idea. Essentially, you're arguing that because language channels are listed in the client in a visible place, they need the kind of moderation that the forums get, and since you can't provide that (for reasons that make plent...

72. CCP Seagul Q&A on subdreddit comments. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
There's a tension, I think, between npc-driven narratives, on the one hand, and an emergent gaming experience on the other. Lore follows gameplay, not the other way around (which explains such things as player-owned customs offices: nonsense in te...

I am seeing the same problem (OSX 10.9.4). I can only assume that something is being (partially?) downloaded the first time that is available the second time around to allow the process to complete.
